J.B. Stine

As CFO of Vimly Benefit Solutions, J.B. is responsible for the development and successful implementation of the finance strategy, budgeting, and forecasting. Additionally, J.B. oversees investor relations, capitalization strategy, compliance, and a team of accounting professionals who provide financial services as part of Vimly's product offering.


J.B. has over 16 years of experience working for and with technology companies, large and small. For the last 11 years, he has worked as a people manager in finance, core operations, and sales operations roles. He has operated and led at every stage of company growth since moving to Seattle from Philadelphia in 2006, managing teams as large as 130, and small as 4 in a tight-knit analytics team.


At Trupanion, (only 20 employees when he joined in 2008) J.B. grew into a V.P. role, and five years after joining, he was actively involved in their IPO process. He also launched the Seattle campus of General Assembly in 2014, and for the four years prior to Vimly, pivoted to B2B at scale as a Director at Microsoft in US Sales Operations. J.B.'s first roles as an individual contributor were in Finance at venture capital firms such as Maveron.  

J.B. is a quant at heart but has found a calling in managing teams and developing talent. He is thrilled to bring his broad management and finance experience to the Vimly Leadership team, where his impact reaches beyond core financial responsibilities. When he is not at Vimly, you can find J.B. in the outdoors skiing, snowboarding, or hiking with his wife Natalie and three young boys or at home cheering hard for the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, Sixers, and Penn Quakers.
