Vimly Announces 2 Key Hires To Further Enable Growth
Vimly, a Benefits Administration technology and services company whose mission is to transform the benefits experience, announces it is further bolstering its executive leadership team with the appointment of Ryan VanOverbeke as Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer overseeing Sales and Marketing and C.J. Venkataraman (Venkat) as its Chief Operating Officer.
“We are positioning Vimly for growth and scale. Right now, we are in an unprecedented time of rapid change in our benefits administration space, and we’re planning to bring disruptive innovations that increase efficiencies and lower costs through our SaaS plus Service enablement. Adding world-class executive talent uniquely positions Vimly to provide the market with leading software that simplifies the complexities of administering benefits at enterprises of all sizes, all around the nation,” said Shannon Jurdana, CEO of Vimly. “I’m excited to welcome Ryan and Venkat to Vimly as both bring an unparalleled passion for customer obsession, innovation, and execution.”
Ryan will have oversight over the entire commercialization team: sales, sales operations, marketing, national relationship management, business development, and channel management. He will lead the design, development, and execution of Vimly’s sales strategy, and has responsibility to drive top-line revenue growth. “Ryan has a history of consistently helping organizations grow faster than the market by building high performing teams that are able to exceed expectations,” said Jurdana.
“Shannon and the team at Vimly have built an incredible foundation poised for explosive growth. I am energized to be a part of a culture that aims to exceed customer expectations and play a key role in transforming the benefits experience. Together, we can make a positive impact on the healthcare system through the efficiencies the Vimly technology platform is able to bring to the market,” said VanOverbeke.
Ryan brings more than 16 years of experience in healthcare distribution, technology, and financial services. Prior to joining Vimly, he spent nearly seven years at WEX Health (NYSE: WEX) as the SVP, Healthcare Partner Executive, where he had key responsibilities for all existing partner revenue growth and retention across the division, including oversight of the account executives nationally. Ryan previously held executive leadership positions at UnitedHealth Group over the course of a 10-year span.
In his COO role, Venkat will be responsible for delivering a compelling customer-driven vision for Vimly’s Benefits Administration SaaS + Service platform. He will lead the professional services, customer success, product management, engineering, and talent management functions to speed product development and delivery, rapidly scale the organizational capabilities, and augment value to Vimly’s customers.
“What I found most compelling about Vimly was its undisputed experience, domain knowledge, innovative thinking, and passionate people solving complex employee benefit experience challenges,” said Venkat. “Vimly’s Benefits Administration software-as-a-service automates, simplifies, and creates a delightful user experience throughout the entire benefits lifecycle. I’m looking forward to helping take Vimly to the next level.”
Venkat brings more than 20 years of leadership, operations, and scaling organizations experience at the intersection of Technology and Healthcare. Prior to joining Vimly, he spent six years at Vera Whole Health where he led the development and implementation of Advanced Primary care products and services. Venkat previously held executive leadership positions at Delta Dental of WA, Intellectual Ventures, Corbis, and Microsoft.
Over his career, Venkat has helped digital transformation and rapidly scale multiple companies in different industries. “His entrepreneurial mind, obsessive focus on meeting customers’ needs, and effective scaling organizations is why we brought him on board. It’s the right time, and he is certainly the right person to help us effectively scale Vimly,” said Jurdana.
