Product Owner

Job Description

As a Product Owner on the Product Management team, you’ll work with the product team, software engineers, quality assurance, and internal & external customers to develop the SaaS platform that supports the Vimly product suite. You will help create and drive the technical strategy, vision, roadmap, and rollout of a portfolio of products with a high degree of ownership over critical features. As a team, together we will shape the strategic direction and inform business decisions for the Vimly executive leadership team, and you will own bringing it to life.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the product life cycle from inception to launch for a portfolio of products leveraged by internal and external customers
  • Inspire a cross-functional team to bring new products and features to life with a clear product vision
  • Understand and articulate internal and external customer needs, partner with UX to conduct customer research, leverage internal knowledge and expertise, and prioritize requirements
  • Create and manage requirements and related artifacts including user stories, use cases, processes, system workflows, define KPIs, and focus on maximizing ROI
  • Partner closely with architects and engineers to develop the product supporting multiple teams and use cases
  • Translate business requirements details into meaningful insights for stakeholders
  • Address questions and issues from internal stakeholders

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in the Benefits Administration industry or broader HRIS industry experience
  • 4+ years of experience with requirements gathering user feedback, writing user stories, technical support/troubleshooting, process documentation and/or process improvement
  • 3+ years of experience as a product owner or scrum master on an agile team, or equivalent project management experience
  • Experience working directly with UX design or software engineers to ship new features, enhancements, and/or bug fixes
  • Experience across a full enterprise B2B software product lifecycle
  • Strong competency in Excel, Visio, and creating PowerPoint presentations to drive awareness
  • Domain knowledge of the benefits administration industry
  • Experience working with systems that must comply with HIPAA/HITECH, HITRUST, or other regulatory data requirements
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools such as Jira, Aha!, etc. 
  • Past experience with agile and/or lean methodologies

Qualifications
