Katie Trout

Katie is a technology leader with over 20 years in expanding leadership roles in the software industry. In these senior leadership roles, Katie has had both in-depth and detailed experience, especially in application development, as well as broad-based experience in all facets of product creation from inception to development, marketing, pricing, roll-out and customer feedback. Katie also has deep management experience, working with multiple teams across geographies, and in dynamic, fast-paced environments, with evolving business priorities. 

 
As Chief Technology Officer, Katie is responsible for the structure and operations of the engineering and IT organizations, including day-to-day processes, development of strategic vision, and project execution to meet Vimly’s business needs for long term growth. She is a high impact leader, guiding and empowering teams to deliver high quality, business-critical products and to create innovative solutions to customer needs. She is passionate about building teams and developing staff through coaching, mentoring and developmental assignments. Katie contributes to and embraces Vimly’s collaborative work environment, building the relationships that ensure excellence in products and service offerings. She takes pride in delivering customer value to simplify the complexities of workplace and benefits administration for our customers and partners.
 
As a member of Vimly’s executive leadership team, Katie brings her business and technology experience and acumen to the leadership team. She is able to provide guidance on a wide range of strategic, tactical, and operational matters. Her background in driving strategy and tactical daily operations of multi-million dollar engineering teams, building enterprise class, robust and scalable products, and leveraging the latest technology and design principles, will position Vimly for current and future growth opportunities. 
 
She and her husband Craig have two sons and enjoy spending time at community sporting events, getting outdoors, and travelling as a family. As a graduate of the University of Washington, she is proud to call the Pacific Northwest home.
